The Board also approved the appointment of a new member of the Citizen Advisory Board, Mr. Jeff Mallory, who is Director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Duquesne University. Advisory Board members serve four-year terms.
At the same meeting, officers were elected for 2018:
Chair: Daniel J. Griffin
Vice Chair: Dusty Elias Kirk
Secretary/Treasurer: Sylvia Fields
In further action, the Board approved two Special Project Grants:
- A Connection Grant in the amount of $16,000 to the Pittsburgh Festival Opera for a shared marketing position with the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra.
- An Accessibility Grant to Carnegie Museums of $47,000 for purchase and installation of automatic door openers at the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Art.
