PITTSBURGH—At a meeting on June 20th, the appointed members of the RAD board re-elected Danny Rosen, PhD, as the at-large member of the board of directors. The term runs through June of 2018.
“Dr. Rosen is an outstanding community leader who is committed to advancing the public interest through his work and his time as a volunteer, with particular emphasis on diversity and inclusion. He has been a strong member of the RAD board and we look forward to his continued service,” said Dusty Elias Kirk, chair of the RAD board. “At the same time, we also commend the interest and qualifications of the other nominees and their willingness to devote considerable hours to advancing the RAD mission.”
Dr. Rosen is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh, where he teaches courses in the areas of research and urban analysis. He is the current recipient of a grant from the National Institutes of Health that examines the intersection between aging and substance abuse. He is the Board chair of the Friendship Circle and has served on the boards of Allegheny Health Choices, Inc., and the United Jewish Federal Health and Human Service funding commission.
